Horizontal games (Arcade PCB)

When I grew up, I played a LOT of classic arcade games. Most of those are featured on this page.

Horizontally orientated games:
|Argus No Senshi | Black TigerHacha Mecha Fighter | Heavy Unit | Ninja Kid II
| P – 47 – The Phantom Fighter | Perfect Billiards | Rolling Thunder | Silk Worm
| Three Wonders

Here are some cool extras that I got with this game:
Marquee | Bezel | Manual | Harness

My all time favourite game! I can’t even beging to describe how great it is. Bought as Rygar from the US, romswapped into an Argus No Senshi(The Japanese version), since that’s just a way more fun version of this game. I do have a JAMMA-adapter to it now, and I’m gonna try to get a score higher than my MAME one @ 4 .5 million points. Check out the Rygar fan site!.

This if by far my favourite Capcom game. It’s filled with secret bonuses, challenging gameplay (yet not in a clumsy way like in Ghost n’ Goblins). Too bad it takes me on average 1.5 hours to play 1 credit. Got this from an excellent eBayer in the US.

Played this at a small shmupmeet and really liked it right away. So when one appeared on eBay I got it for a fair price. Sometimes these appear at crazy prices, don’t bite.

Click for high-res picture I bought this from a friend of mine who’s also an arcade enthusiast (aren’t we all?) and we’re both happy about it. This game is not currently emulated in MAME, so it’s even more fun to own and be able to play. 😉

Click for high-res picture I bought a Rad Action pcb a while back and found out that the sound is decrypted with a suicide CPU. I wanted sound, so I got this (possibly a bootleg, we don’t know that for sure) Ninja Kid II without decryption. Too bad that the gameplay is rediculously hard in this revision of the game.

Click for high-res picture I bought this at the same time I got my Super Contra. Very nice horizontal shmup with a couple of hidden bonuses through out the game. The powerups are one of a kind. The regular shots are the same throughout the game, but the secondary change instead, all with different advantages.

Click for high-res picture Bought from a nice canadian bloke with three other games. I’ve made an adapter for this and it’s working but except for the sound. My board says SEGA so,I guess it’s the sega version that currently doesn’t seem to work in MAME.

Click for high-res picture Classic, one-of-a-kind platform action from Namco. I’ve only gotten to stage 6 (in MAME), now I intend to complete the mission for super-cool agent Albatross. Got this on eBay with buy it now for a lousy $35. It was dusty, but I got it somewhat cleaned up now..

Click for high-res picture Action-packed, fun shooting fun for two! What a great idea, combining a sidescrolling shooter (heli/player 1) with the Rygaresque Tecmo jump/attack gameplay (jeep/player 2). The team that whipped up this concept should get a prize! My very first PCB. Bought from the US and A on eBay.

Click for high-res picture My first CPS-1 game. Probably the only one. You really only need this, since it’s the best and has three games in one! Midnight Wonders, the platform shooter, Chariot, horizontal shmup and Don’t Pull, a puzzle action game, like Pengo. Bought from Madness, the swedish game collector extraordinare.
